What are Teflon Washers?

1. Pick the right size Teflon washer that matches your bolt or fastener’s inner and outer diameter and thickness.
2. Clean bolt, nut, and mating parts to remove dirt, oil, or debris, then dry them well.
3. Slide the washer onto the bolt shank and position it under the bolt head, nut, or between parts to spread the load evenly.
4. Insert the bolt through the hole or assembly, hand-tighten the nut first, then use tools to secure it without over-tightening to avoid crushing the washer.
5. Inspect the fit to ensure the washer sits flat with no gaps, twists, or leaks in sealed systems.​
